2025 Competition: The 2025 competition will be held between 17th-19th March 2025.  More details will follow soon.

Award Criteria:

This award is judged as part of The Live Theatre at The International Salon Culinaire programme of chef competitions in London. Organised by Montgomery Events, this will take place at the HRC Event (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering Event) – formerly known as Hotelympia. The event will be held 25th-27th March 2024 at ExCel London, with a one hour competition slot during this time.

Competition Details: The live kitchen competition has been confirmed for 1.15pm on Wednesday 27th March 2024.  Competitors must be onsite at least one hour prior to the competition, and must also allow time after the event to wipe down stations and wash up.

The Brief: Chef teams (of two) will have one hour to prepare, cook and present a three-course menu suitable for their Club Chairman to entertain the Head of the FA, RFU or Cricket to dinner. The meal should include a lamb main course with seasonal ingredients.  Judges cannot reveal the results on the day.  Commentary and feedback is available on request after the awards evening has been held on 4th July 2024.

Maximum of 8 teams able to compete (due to available kitchen stations).  Enter early to avoid disappointment.

Results: Bronze, Silver and Winner awards will be announced and presented at The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2024.  All award winners will be invited to the stage to collect their award.  Winners will be asked for a short quote for the official awards press release, and a brief video interview on the night to share your success.

Closing Date: Wednesday 31st January 2024.  Limited spaces, please enter early to avoid disappointment.  This category opened for entry in June 2023.

Category Cost: £330+0.5% admin fee (this is at cost).  Competition will be booked when eight entrants received – Entry fee is non-refundable.  Your venue must be a 2024 Stadium Experience Member to participate.  The fee entitles you to enter a team of two chefs into the live competition.
